Eligibility Criteria for DRDO Apprentice Recruitment 2023
- Category-1: Graduate Apprentices:
- First Class Engineering Degree (full-time course) in the respective discipline with at least 6.3 CGPA from a recognized Indian University/Institute (relaxed to a minimum of 5.3 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
- Category-2: Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:
- First Class Diploma in Engineering obtained from State Board of Technical Education/recognized Indian University (full-time course) in the respective discipline with 60% marks (relaxed to 50% marks for SC/ST/PwD candidates).

Application Process for DRDO Apprentice Recruitment 2023
- For students already enrolled on the National Web Portal (NATS):
- Login to the portal and complete the application form.
- A unique Enrollment Number will be generated.
- For students not yet enrolled on the National Web Portal: a. Go to www.mhrdnats.gov.in for Graduate or Diploma. b. Click “Enroll” and complete the application form. c. A unique Enrollment Number will be generated.

What is the duration of the Apprentice training?
The duration of the apprenticeship training is 12 months as per the Apprentices Act 1961.
Is there any reservation for SC/ST/OBC candidates?
Yes, reservation guidelines under the Apprentices Act for SC/ST/OBC will be followed. Candidates claiming reservation should provide the required certificates as per government standards.
Will there be any selection process?
Selection will be based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. A written examination will be conducted, and candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance.
Is there any provision for boarding and lodging?
No, boarding or lodging expenses will be provided. However, selected candidates can avail canteen facilities at ARDE on a payment basis.
