Eligibility Criteria for Technician Apprentice Jobs:
- Citizenship: Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
- Age Limit: As of September 30, 2023:
- UR: 30 years
- OBC: 33 years
- SC: 35 years
- ST: 35 years
- PWBD: 40 years (UR), 43 years (OBC), 45 years (SC/ST)
- Education: Diploma in Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education coming under the Southern Region of Board of Apprenticeship Training (Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Puducherry).
- Candidates who have acquired a Diploma in Engineering before April 2019 or are pursuing the final year Diploma course or awaiting results are not eligible to apply.
Stipend:
- The duration of training will be one year from the date of joining.
- Stipend: Rs. 8,000 per month
How to Apply for VSSC Technician Apprentice Training:
- Applications will be received from candidates only through a walk-in interview on October 7, 2023, as per the instructions mentioned.
- Candidates must register online on the Ministry of Education NATS portal at www.nats.education.gov.in or www.sdcentre.org and bring the Registration No. and printout for the walk-in interview.
- Candidates should visit the VSSC pavilion at the specified venue on the mentioned date along with original and self-attested copies of required documents.
- Application forms will be provided for consideration of Apprenticeship after scrutiny of supporting documents.

Selection Process for VSSC Technician Apprentice:
- The selection will be based on the highest marks scored by candidates in the relevant examination with due weightage to reservation categories.
- Induction of apprentices will be strictly based on the candidate’s position in the panel, subject to the availability of vacancies and the validity of the panel.
General Conditions/Instructions:
- Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
- Candidates who have completed five years after acquiring the prescribed qualification are not eligible for apprenticeship training.
- Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing Apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961, or have one year or more experience from any institution are not eligible to apply.
- Certain educational qualifications and other claims will be scrutinized during the walk-in interview.
- No interim correspondence will be entertained, and canvassing in any form will result in disqualification.
